STUDIO MANAGEMENT

Social Media Coordinator, 2014 - 2016
American Steel Studios, Oakland, California

Maintained website, newsletter, and social media for a diverse community of over 200+ artists, makers, and entrepreneurs. Helped co-ordinate and promote studio events, including monthly Art Murmur, Oakland Mayor Libby Schaff’s inaugural party, Pre-compression, and FEELS music festivals with crowds ranging from several hundred to over 50,000.

Studio Manager, 2004 - 2007
John Himmelfarb Studio, Chicago, Illinois

Set up and maintained a private print shop, assisting in plate production and printing of both etching and lithography editions. Designed and developed publicity materials from conception to pre-press: these ranged from magazine ads (Art on Paper), to exhibition postcards, to research for a catalog raisonné (Hudson Hills Press). Oversaw two public art projects from proposal to completion, ensuring the work met all site requirements and codes: an installation of drawings on library card catalog cards (Bucktown Wicker Park Library, Chicago Illinois) and an installation of two site-specific paintings (Delta Airline terminal, Logan Airport, Boston Massachusetts). Oversaw day to day studio operations, including building crates, and packing and shipping artwork to galleries and museums.

Studio Manager, 2000 - 2004
Chicago Printmakers Collaborative, Chicago, Illinois

Provided individual mentoring and tutorials in screen printing, lithography, intaglio (aquatint, white ground, soft ground, spit bite), relief printing, and artist’s books. Oversaw the day-to-day maintenance of the studio, conducted studio orientations and portfolio reviews, and ensured members followed safety protocols for equipment and materials. Designed newspaper ads, promotional flyers, website, class schedules and studio signage, and proposed and organized workshop gallery exhibitions and programming.
